4 The Revelation of Christ - part 1

Our Need:

Romans 3:
21 But now apart from the Law the righteousness of God has been manifested, being witnessed by the Law and the Prophets,22 even the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ for all those who believe; for there is no distinction;23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,24 being justified as a gift by His grace through the redemption which is in Christ Jesus;
25 whom God displayed publicly as a propitiation in His blood through faith This was to demonstrate His righteousness, because in the forbearance of God He passed over the sins previously committed;

Apart from the Law, the righteousness of God has been manifested.  What does that mean? How can someone be righteous apart from the Law?  How was Jesus a display of the righteousness of God, apart from living the perfect life?

It has been occurring to me recently, that Jesus displayed the righteousness of God, while on earth, not only by being perfect in all He did, but also by satiating the wrath of God, thus deferring to the Father’s Character.  Jesus’ deferral should be a model we keep in mind, often.  The righteousness of God, as it’s displayed in His people, is rooted (daily) in an active life of faith in Jesus Christ.  The actions are to defer :) our emotions, wants, desires....and just like Christ resurrected, your heart will experience a resurrection of new Godly desires.  Jesus sits at the right hand of God Almighty, imparting the character of the Father of the Universe into our hearts via the Holy Spirit !  How is He doing that?  Well, as we submit to a god-given Holy Spirit desire, that spiritual muscle receives nourishment.   It then wants more...and as you feed it, the Faith muscle gets stronger.

However, this muscle is a muscle of sight, did you know how many muscles are attached to the human eye?  More than 20.  When we begin to own the desire (thru gentle coercion from the Holy Spirit), we begin to SEE that the remedy for every pain is Jesus Christ, and that gives birth to yet more godly desires that when we act upon them.....the kingdom of God is extended a little more.......
